Series Around the Full Moon
I photograph the full moon of August 2022 because the light is magnificent
with its resplendent colors,
and I indicate the passage of time.
I'm crazy about small fishermen and vacationers from the campsite from this beach
because they are colorful.
While the townspeople are dressed in black,
they all want to look alike even if they are all different,
but the colors remind us.
These vacationers may be city dwellers but today they are not going in this direction,
they are relaxed and cheerful.
They come in the evening to enjoy the calm and freshness of the seaside.
They listen the moon tell them stories of hope and rebirth
for today the times are darker,
and that cheers them up.
They are mostly foreigners who come to camp with their families.
You can hear all European languages, Danish, English, German, Spanish, French...
And I love seeing them lounging or strolling on that moonlit beach.
I take photos of people without their consent but we cannot recognize them.
They may be able to recognize each other at times, but not the general public.
Everyone can identify with his characters.
There is no personification and this is an ethical position for me.
We are in a consumer society where stars are valued on glossy paper
or on billboards when they are people like everyone else
in search of freedom and love that are manipulated
so that we buy all the objects of consumption or entertainment.
We're all caught between a rock and a hard place
but I know that we are all manipulated by the mass media and we all play the game.
Why ? Everyone has to think about it...
It is up to everyone to find their own ethical position where they are and in their own way.
There are no ready-made solutions.
It is up to everyone to train themselves to take responsibility
in today's world of consumption and relationships.
I do my part every day like the hummingbird
and over the long term to stay rooted in reality.
otherwise it makes no sense.
I had to liberate myself from a lot of vitiated energies.
I can't live without making sense of what I do.
And you?
I do not stigmatize anyone and certainly not the poorest and the young
who cannot respond to the media,
because we never let them speak properly.
It may be time to stop the masquerade to save the earth.
Let us question our practices where we are and not elsewhere.
We are then relevant and we can position ourselves accurately, but it takes courage.
